What Is A Hipster? Sep 20th 2012, 12:12 A while back, we mingled with the young people (yeah, I know, right?!). Anyway, these young students were talking about some of their colleagues and one of them asked if they were gay. The other replied: "nah, I think they're just hipsters". To which, other persons in our entourage (not the young people) whispered to me "what's a hipster?".
