'Evil Dead' Red-Band Trailer Released! (Watch It Here!) Oct 24th 2012, 23:46 Ok folks, the moment most of you have been waiting for, and secretly dreading is finally upon us! The classic campy horror flick Evil Dead has been reincarnated for the newest generation of movie fans, and we’ve got it here for your viewing pleasure! Despite receiving the go-ahead and massive praise from the Deadites responsible for the original, (Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell) I – and many other fans of the series – remained highly skeptical that the ‘magic’ created back in 1981 would do little more than nuke the legacy forever. But I must say I was more than a little surprised, not to mention slightly grossed out by the aforementioned trailer. All the key aspects of the original story are there; creepy cabin in the woods, old spell book bound from human flesh and inked in blood, foliage that molests you – hell, there’s even a chainsaw! WOO HOO! There is however, one thing that seems to be severely lacking in the Evil Dead reboot; the campy, sardonic humor. (Boo!) Check it out for yourself, but be warned! It’s the RED BAND TRAILER, and that means that it’s age restricted, and certainly NOT SAFE FOR WORK! While I doubt it’ll even come close to the original films and the love myself and many others share for it, it certainly does look like a fantastic horror flick.
