It took three years of FreeFests, 77,000 volunteer hours and $600,000 in donations, but Virgin Mobile will be opening up the doors to the RE*Generation House in November. The RE*Generation is Virgin Mobile’s effort to empower a generation to help its own. Over two million youth (between the ages of 12 and 24) will experience at least one episode of homelessness each year and over 100,000 youth sleep on the street for 6 months or more in America. With this years FreeFest festival, two years of operations, to make sure the shelter can keep its doors open for at least two years.
