James Franco Claims He Tried To Help Lindsay Lohan Dec 19th 2012, 19:23 James Franco and Lindsay Lohan have known each other for quite some time, but did you know Franco once tried to save Lindsay from her troubles? The actor is now claiming that he had hopes of helping Lindsay change her troubling lifestyle, obviously it didn’t work out. The two were last together when Franco was directing the R.E.M. music video for "Blue," which Lindsay was starring in back in 2011. “I haven’t talked to her in a long time because it seemed like she was getting into some more trouble. I’ve tried to help her.” said Franco during an interview. “Lindsay and I had reconnected at that time. I had been writing some poems about the Chateau Marmont and one or two of the poems involved Lindsay…" Wait, James Franco writes poems about the Chateau Marmont? Yup… total douche bag. "I think one of the reasons it’s so hard is when she gets in trouble, she gets all this attention and I’m sure she gets book offers,” explained Franco. “Like she goes to jail, and instead of feeling like, ‘I really hit a low place,’ she’ll get a crazy offer for her jail memoir.” Here's the thing, Lindsay's basically poor at this point. If someone offers her a book deal she needs to take it! Thanks for all your help James Franco, now get back to work on those poems. [eye roll]
