Trey Songz Arrested For 'Making It Rain' Dec 17th 2012, 03:25 Trey Songz got arrested for throwing money at a stripper… Say what!?! That's right, Songz has been charged with assault after making it rain on a woman at his album release party! The singer, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, threw an album release party in August at an NYC gentleman's club. It was during this party that the incident took place. “Tremaine Neverson, did throw a sum of United States currency at the complainant and said sum of United States currency struck the complainant’s left eye causing substantial pain to her left eye,” reveals the police report. Yup, the stripper got money in her eye… Who would have thought stripping could be so dangerous? Songz was arrested about a month later for misdemeanor assault. He has a court date coming up in February. So remember kids, next time you're making it rain on a stripper make sure she's wearing goggles!
