Gerard Butler vs. Nazis; set to star in WWII-set soccer drama The Death Match

Ah, Gerard Butler and his sports movies.  CHASING MAVERICKS didn't bode so well at the box office and his next one, PLAYING FOR KEEPS, a much lighter soccor pic doesn't look so hot either.  Regardless, Gerard is at it again, this time with a much more intriguing concept, as he'll star in the WWII-set soccer drama, DYNAMO, a true story based on the novel Dynamo: Defending The Honour Of Kiev by... First trailer for Despicable Me 2 features more minions, Halloween music, and an alien abduction
Oct 31st 2012, 17:54

The first trailer for DESPICABLE ME 2 has arrived and it's pretty obvious they're banking on the yellow pill-shaped Minions to do the heavy lifting (at least in terms of marketing).  No sign of Steve Carrell, Al Pacino, Kritin Wiig, or Steve Coogan, who are all providing voice talent for new and recurring characters.  Still, you can't help but giggle a bit at those little bastards. Have a look: I... Read More...

Now that Halloween is slowly but steadily going past us (or the other way around), my favorite, my beloved, my most treasured celebration of them all is coming: Christmas. Inevitable. (wink)

So do expect me to stuff on Christmas goodies from now until the D day. Because there can never be enough Christmas spirit to share and enjoy, right? Philip Treacy too thinks there can never be enough. Only he's thinking about $$$. Asprey and the esteemed milliner came up with this dazzling 80 pieces limited edition $2,400 Christmas cracker with really surprising content. I know Angelina is an Asprey fan. I bet they'll be getting some Philip Treacy cracker goodies…

The Cure Lullaby

We've been together so long and not even once did I bring up The Cure in our beloved Friday Breaks! Well, this is it! Happy Halloween my dahlings! Celebrating or not, The Cure Lullaby is one piece of amazing musical work (and I am a bit behind on adding to our musical archive – wink)!

I was reading below the video – can't believe it's from 1989! If I close my eyes and try to pinpoint this in the musical history, I couldn't do it – I'm convinced Lullaby existed since the dawn of times and The Cure just voiced it. The same feeling I had when I first listened to Massive Attack… What was your musical epiphany?
