One Direction's List Of 'Banned Questions' Causes Uproar!

Music's hottest new boy band One Direction is receiving major backlash after a list of "banned" questions became public…

The list consists of questions interviewers are restricted from asking the band members and it is really quite ridiculous!

Scott Rush, a radio DJ in Canada, was the first interviewer to speak out against the restricted questions.

Rush interviewed One Direction’s Zayn Malik back in September… let’s just say it didn’t go well.

He revealed the list of banned questions below…

1. Who is your celebrity crush? 2. Which of you have girlfriends? 3. Who came up with the name One Direction? 4. Anything “X Factor”-related 5. Worst habits about each other 6. Do you guys fight? 7. Best prank someone played on you 8. Describe each other in one word 9. Funniest fan stories 10. If not in the band, what would you be doing? 11. Pre-show rituals 12. Questions about money or religion

Earlier this week, Rush talked about the restrictions on “The Morning Hot Tub” show on Ottawa's Hot 89.9.

He played a prerecorded interview that he had done with Zayn Malik on September 28.

Before Rush could interview the teen idol, he was given the laundry list of questions he wasn't allowed to ask by a handler.

Once Malik finally started the interview, Rush is recorded as saying, “Well, Zayn, I want to talk to you about … Well, I can’t do that …”

Papers are then heard shuffling while Rush mutters some of the banned questions. Then after a few seconds of silence Rush says “Well, that’s about going to do it. Thank you for taking the time for us today. Continued success in the future!”

Zayn then responded, “Thank you. Bye!”

What was supposed to be a 10 minute interview lasted only 30 seconds!

A few restricted questions is totally fine, sometimes celebrities legally can't answer certain questions or are very uncomfortable answering something about their personal life. But really, twelve banned questions?

Obviously the religion/money question is reasonable and maybe so is the girlfriend question, but why can't you ask about "The X Factor?" That's how they became famous!

Why can't you ask them about a funny fan story or what they would be doing if they weren't in a band?

What do you think about One Direction's list of banned questions?
