Spring 2013 Fashion Ads Target Strong Women Jan 17th 2013, 15:56 A while ago I noticed the new M.A.C. Spring 2013 Ad Campaign, but didn't think it was all that interesting. However, when the new Alexander Wang Spring 2013 Ad Campaign finally emerged today, it really made me think about that M.A.C. image I've seen… What brought Wang and MAC together in my head? Something that could very well be a trend for this upcoming Spring season: strength. Strong women. In fashion. While MAC really makes a statement by putting female bodybuilder (and model) Jelena Abbou in their campaign pictures, Wang takes it on the softer, ambiguous, androgynous side of the strength story. I already mentioned a thing or two about Alexander Wang's campaign girl – Malgosia Bela, so this wouldn't be the first time I starred at the strange, statuesque aesthetic from Wang's Spring 2013 campaign. However, seeing the campaign in full now, I'd rather keep the strength perspective in mind in order to preserve my fashion sanity. What's your take on the Steven Klein photographed campaign?
