Lindsay Lohan Devasted By Bad 'Liz & Dick' Reviews Nov 26th 2012, 19:03 Well it definitely was not the comeback she was looking for…. Friends close to Lindsay Lohan are saying the actress is totally devastated by all the criticism "Liz & Dick" has been getting. Apparently, Lindsay wasn't ready for the harsh reviews and actually believed the film would kick off her career comeback. "Lindsay is devastated by the response to the film," a close friend reveals. "She has got used to all the negative press around her personal life but this is the first time she has experienced it about her work." "No matter how bad things were going for her personally, everyone would always agree that she was a great actress," adds the insider. Another friend says, "She knew the script wasn’t strong but thought she would bring the role of Elizabeth to life. This is particularly heartbreaking as her acting was the only thing in her life that she knew was real. Now she is doubting that, too." While it might not have been her greatest role, the film does have one chance of redemption… the ratings. Liz & Dick had garnered a huge buzz over the past few months and was likely a ratings hit for the Lifetime network! "Everyone wants to make great TV but ultimately what determines if a show is a success is the ratings," says Media Masters‘ Amy Rosenblum. "Ironically, if a show finds a huge audience then it doesn’t matter what the reviews or what the media elites think." So there you go Linds.
