LeAnn Rimes Sues Dentist Over Botched Dental Work (Photo) Feb 15th 2013, 06:43 LeAnn Rimes is suing her dentist for ruining her career. According to TMZ, LeAnn claims she went to Dr. Duane C. McKay for various dental procedures over the course of a few years. Some of the work included upper front veneers and crowns that the dentist promised would address her TMJ-related pain as well as improve her appearance. She doesn’t like her over-sized front teeth, obviously. LeAnn claims rather than helping, the dentist messed her mouth up bad, causing tremendous pain and bleeding. As a result of the dental work, Rimes says that she’s undergone nine root canals, bone grafting, a temporary bridge, and physical therapy, and that she’s suffered a “permanent cosmetic deficiency.” Back in October LeAnn wrote: “The ER at 3am, THAT is an interesting place to be. Feeling much better now, thanks to my husband’s best friend who’s an ER doc. I’ve been living in a dental nightmare for 10 months. I’m getting back on track though, I hope. I’ve had too many detours this year due to dental issues. I’m finally in great hands and being well taken care of. Last night was wonderful, performing to help raise money for the Autry Museum and earlier in the day performing a few songs to help raise money for the cats and dogs at living-free.org Needless to say, I’m resting today. Thank you all for your support and understanding. The last 10 months of pain are hard for me to wrap my head around. I’m sure it’s difficult for you all to understand too. Let’s just pray I’m on the mend. I’ll see you all on the road very soon.” She also claims that she’s been unable perform as a result, so she’s seeking money from past and future earnings. Except for the performance mentioned above, that was successful, but it was for charity. Something smells fishy, no?
