Spice Girl Mel B Joins 'America's Got Talent' Feb 21st 2013, 15:56 Spice Girl Melanie Brown will replace Sharon Osbourne as a judge on the eighth season of America’s Got Talent. Simon is said to be particularly impressed by the singer's candid style, "She’s outspoken and never afraid to speak her mind, she makes for good TV." Osbourne, who joined the show in 2007, decided to leave after the seventh season over a dispute with NBC. At the time, Osbourne accused NBC of declining to cast Jack after discovering he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This isn’t Me’s first time on television. She first was a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor in 2011 and was a guest judge on the U.K. version, and Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model. The eighth season of America’s Got Talent will begin May 28th.
