Lindsay Lohan's 'The Canyons' Coming Soon Feb 15th 2013, 21:51 If you’ve been anxiously awaiting Lindsay Lohan‘s next disaster, you won’t have to wait much longer. IFC Films said on Friday that it had acquired for North American distribution "The Canyons," a sexual thriller directed by Paul Schrader (the screenwriter of "Taxi Driver" and director of "Affliction"), written by Bret Easton Ellis ("American Psycho"), and starring Lohan and the pornographic film actor James Deen. “I am delighted our film has found an enthusiastic home at IFC,” director Paul Schrader said in a statement about the acquisition. “We envisioned ‘The Canyons’ as a multi-platform release from the beginning and no company knows that world better than IFC.” Rumors of Lohan’s bad behavior plagued the brief shoot, and then when the film was turned down from both the Sundance and SXSW film festivals, word brewed that the chaos made it on to the screen as well. "There were days when she would scream and yell and cry and refuse to come out. In porn I am used to working with professionals who are courteous to others. But Lindsay was like a child lashing out.” I’m sure Lindsay is pleased.
