Last night Allie Is Wired attended the VIP Grand Opening of L.A.'s hot new burger joint, Smashburger!

The new eatery is located in Culver City and offers gourmet style burgers at amazing prices… oh and it's freaking delicious.

Just in case you didn't know, Smashburger is the nation's fastest growing "better burger" restaurant.

According to the company, the restaurant is "named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers start with a ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen, Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor."

Allie Is Wired's Matt Valdez was lucky enough to attend the VIP event where we got to enjoy what Smashburger has to offer, awesome food!

"I wanted to put burgers back in people's lives. I wanted to make a place that was hip and that served alcohol and that had variation on its menu that was distinctive." explains Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan.

"You order at the counter and we bring the food to you. This way once you've ordered you can spend all your time with each other. There's nothing worse than going to a burger restaurant and eating out of a bag!"

While at the VIP event I enjoyed the L.A. Chicken Sandwich a.k.a. one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time.

The sandwich is the chicken version of Smashburger's Los Angeles signature. The sandwich features a crispy wonton, fried egg, cilantro, cucumber, lettuce, tomato and Japanese steakhouse ginger dressing.

Um, yeah it was ridiculously good… if you couldn't tell.

Oh also, for all you vegetarians out there, every burger a Smashburger can have the meat patty switched out for a black bean patty! I tried that as well and it was really good!

Thank you Tom Ryan and all of Smashburger for having us! We'll definitely be returning again and again… and again.
